Frequently Asked Questions (click +  see answers below)

Q: What is a support group, and how does it work?

A: A support group is a safe space for individuals facing similar challenges to share experiences, advice, and encouragement. A trained leader facilitates meetings and may involve open discussions, activities, or educational resources

Q: Do I need to share my personal story?

A: Sharing is encouraged but not required. You can participate at your own comfort level, whether by actively contributing or simply listening to others until you feel ready to speak.

Q:Who will be in the group?

A: Members typically include people facing similar situations, such as stroke survivors or their caregivers. Everyone is there to support each other, and the group is often diverse in age, background, and experiences.

Q. How can a support group help me?

A. Support groups provide emotional support, practical advice, and a sense of community. You can learn coping strategies, gain insight into recovery, and connect with people who understand your journey.

Q. What if I feel uncomfortable or out of place?

A. It’s normal to feel uncertain at first, but most people find the environment welcoming and inclusive. You can observe initially and take your time building connections. If the group doesn’t feel like the right fit, it’s okay to explore other options.

Q. Are all the meeting on zoom?

A. All Meetings are on Zoom. Feel free to have someone attend with you if you are not comfortable to sign-up on your own.

Q. Are Meetings recorded.

A. Only the presentation portion by presenter is recorded, for privacy.
